Without shared reality, consensus becomes impossible even on basic facts. Different groups cannot agree on what happened, much less on what to do about it. Update capacity collapses because there is no common standard against which beliefs can be checked. Decision capacity follows as governance loses legitimacy across all groups simultaneously. Timeline: approximately 2026-2028 for perfect echo chamber formation, 2029-2034 for full epistemic collapse.
Scenario C: Institutional-Led Collapse
